End of Life Ireland

Support the Bill

Ireland is changing and so too are attitudes around how we live and die. The Dying with Dignity Bill 2020 is before the Dáil and choice at end of life, including Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) is on the agenda. We believe a ‘good death’ is possible for everyone. VAD may not be your choice, what we ask is that you support the right for people to choose for themselves.

The most important thing you can do is to have conversations.

  • Discuss your end of life choices with your nearest and dearest.
  • Let your local TD know that you support Voluntary Assisted Dying as a choice at end of life.
  • Ask your medical practitioners where they stand on the Dying with Dignity Bill
Complete an Advance Healthcare Directive (AHD) to raise awareness of end of life choices.  Read about Alan Tuffery’s experience of completing his AHD on our blog.

Share your end of life stories with us. Stories are the most powerful way to change society. Learn more about sharing your story here.
